FREDDIE CATTANEO SIGNS FOR RATTLING STUFF.
11 July 2024

Freddie Cattaneo has become the latest director to hook up with Rattling Stuff. When asked why he swooped for the Londoner, chief of stuff Cabell Hopkins points to some of DAVID's favourite promos of the last year.

"Freddie has caught the eye with his eye-catching Master Peace videos," Hopkins says. "He has created niche but relatable worlds out of nothing, and we love his attention to detail and unmistakably British sense of humour.

"We look forward to seeing him transfer these skills into the short form world of commercials, and we are glad that he has chosen to hang his hat at Rattling Stuff."

It was hats off to Cattaneo when the promo for 'Start You Up' dropped in February. The film harks back to a strange time when people worked, socialised, and exercised at home. That's right, folks—let's party like it's 2020.

Peace Okezie shares a flat with his brother, sister, and grandmother, but when breakfast is done, everyone 'self-isolates' in separate rooms. Not to protect each other from Covid-19, but to watch TV, walk on treadmills, and work from home. Talk about a buzzkill.

"I live like there's no tomorrow/There's nothing left to borrow," he sings, like a man who refuses to sit and stare at his bowl of Cheerios. Instead, he dances so hard that the rhythm spreads throughout the flat. They are together for about three minutes, which makes the comedown even more affecting than anticipated.
