TV KLAXON: THE LORD OF THE RINGS.
23 January 2022

The most expensive television series ever made finally has some bling to show off... or a full title, at least. More than four years after it was first announced, 'The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power' has emerged from its cave in Mordor (aka Amazon headquarters).

Klaus Obermeyer directs the accompanying promo, with enough molten gold, haughty narration, and choral music to placate most fans before the inevitable story trailer. The Amazon Prime series airs on September 2nd—fingers crossed we don't have another Hobbit trilogy-sized folly on our hands.
